1. What is PARKSEC, why do we need it?

PARKSEC is the Parktown North and Parkhurst Security Association. Initially each suburb had an independent security association: the Parktown North Security Association was called PANSEC, and Parkhurst Security Association was called PARKSEC. However, in 2011 the Parkhurst Security Association was dissolved. PANSEC invited Parkhurst residents to join their committee and they collectively assumed responsibility for both suburbs.
